Beverly Cafe - Rajagiriya
When my husband and I walk into Beverly Cafe, they know what dishes we are most likely to eat, because that is the number of times we have graced this establishment. Set in the crazy busy streets of Rajagiriya, Cafe Beverly is a calm, quiet place to enjoy a delicious meal.
I have pretty much tasted the entire menu but I will be writing about my favourites in this post.
Appetizer
If you are a meat and salad lover you have got to try out the Thai Beef Salad(Rs.400/-) It is a very generous portion for an appetizer, and, comes with stir-fried beef mixed with lettuce, tomatoes, and onion, doused in sweet Thai sauce. This dish is a perfect start to your meal as it gives a hit of sweet, sour, spice and everything nice!
Main
My favourite main is the 'Fish and Chips' (Rs.700/-) Succulent, soft, white fish encased in a crunchy crust accompanied by crispy chips, coleslaw, and mayo. However, my husband prefers their butter chicken(Rs.800/-) which is essentially an Indian Chicken Tikka dish accompanied by butter naan(Rs.170/- per naan).
Dessert
Not an extensive dessert menu but their 'White and Dark Chocolate mousse' is to die for. it comes in four layers of white and dark chocolate moussed, topped with a chocolate syrup, whipped cream, and a cherry. There is also a layer underneath which is comprised of chocolate syrup and honey. Not my favourite but passable.
A special mention to the juices here, very affordable at Rs. 200/- each and super tasty.
All in all a lovely place and the manager is a very attentive and welcoming individual.
So next time you are in the area, drop in and enjoy a wonderful meal from Cafe Beverly Rajagiriya!
