Birthday Celebrations!

After a tumultuous 12 months, today we celebrated Niki and Hunter's 1st Bday. Let me tell you a bit about those 12 months. We have spent several rupees on fences, gates, house paintings, new clothes and much more. Hunter has managed to ravage several Charles and Keith shoes, there was also an attempt to take a bite out of a passport.
On the other hand, Niki has destroyed two pairs of Nike Flip Flops, several items of clothing and most recently the fences.
Rehana and I spent nearly 7 hours in a tuk-tuk, travelling from Malabe to Katana to bring these two home. Then spent another 5 months rushing to Dr. Wanasinghe (Fauna Clinic in Jayantipura road) . These were for various naughty things they did like falling from the bed and jumping out of the balcony!
Whatever the case we love these two crazy dogs and wish them a long long long life :-)
I added a concoction of dog friendly ingredients to make Niki's cake. Thought was sharing it with you guys.
Pumpkin Flesh
Vanilla Milk
Atta Flour
Pinch of Salt
Pinch of Tumeric
A cup of water
Mix all the ingredients together and pour in to a baking tin. Bake at 180 Degrees for about 30 minutes.
Top with dog food or dog treats.
The dogs loved it :-)
